Health and Safety

We take health and safety very seriously, and as part of our comprehensive electrical training courses, staff will undertake:

  • Asbestos Awareness Training
  • IPAF and PASMA Courses for Operating Equipment Safely
  • Working at Height Training

What’s more, we are monitored by Safe Contractor and Constructionline to ensure that our (SSIP) Safety Schemes in Procurement accreditation remains current.

Electrical Installation: Level 3 Apprenticeship

We offer the prestigious Level 3 Electrical Installation apprenticeship training for aspiring electricians at Buchanan & Curwen, helping young employees just starting their careers to learn our trade and gain invaluable practical experience in the workplace.

Course Summary

This qualification is designed for learners wishing to gain an electrical apprenticeship within the Electrotechnical Industry. Learners will gain the skills and knowledge to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the electrical installation industry.

On successful completion, learners will have achieved the industry-desired level of competence required to carry out the specific roles. Throughout their studies, they will cover several specialist subject areas, including:

Over the duration of a four-year apprenticeship, trainees build a portfolio of work-based units, working with an assessor for on-site assessment.
